Why itachi let sasuke live. Best theory!!!

Say that AL is the third ms user (bcuz its possible). Now say he tell's itachi that he has to kill his best friend to get eye's like his. Itachi goes ahead and does it, but finds out that its not killing your friend that gives u ms but the guilt that give u that ms. Now, He's pissed at the AL leader but keeps it to himself, then the AL leader tells him, the only way anyone could defeat him was if they had ms and was stonger than him. Now he tells itachi that if he wan't to secure their future plans then he would have to defeat his whole clan so that they can't get ms and jepordise akatsuki's future plans. So itachi hungry for power goes ahead and does it along with the al helping him. When it was almost over the al leader begins to leave and let itachi finish of his own family (since they were the last to go). But on his way out while he was leaping from a light pole he noticed sasuke but paid him no mine bcuz he was headed to where itachi was anyway, so he expects itachi to kill him. Now itachi kill's his family and realizes sasuke isn't there but thinks of a plan to ensure his future. His plan is to let sasuke live and hate him and him, he tells him how to get ms and hopes he can do. His plan is to tell sasuke that Al was the one that killed everyone and that he needs his help to take him on bcuz he not strong enough alone. Itachi keeps it to himself that his brother is alive and thats why kisame was confused when he saw that there is another uchiha in konoha. Itachi could easily kill him but lets him live again so he could get stronger. He tells him to cling on and get power no matter what. (which is in other words go to orochimaru and let him train u). Now Al finds out that oro is after an uchiha and finds out it is itachi's bro. So he sends zetzu to watch him and see if its true. WHen question if it was his younger brother, itachi doesn't not respond (bcuz hes supposed to be dead). NarutoMangaRet...amphotoID=13553

If my theory is correct, then kakashi got his ms from the guilt he has and but couldn't achieve it earlier bcuz he just wasn't strong enough yet.

By the way, the best theory thing means it my best itachi sasuke thoery.

Not too bad... and could be possible. But, I still like the betrayal theory more...  What MS you get depends on if you betray someone or if someone betrays you.

Ehrm, i only read the first line. And i need to state the obvious. Sasuke would be the 3rd mangekyou user if he obtained it, he did not. So there have only been two. Madara and Itachi.

Yet i agree, guilt maybe what one needs to activate the mangekyou. Still, it would be better for the script if the cursed bloodline really made you kill your best friend for power, not for the guilt.

The whole theory seems to base justification on how Kakashi got his ms.

itachi wants be stronger... so that when they meet again itachi would have a challenging match against sasuke...

Itachi just lets Sasuke live because he feels its worthless killing a useless brother. He wants a better fight from his brother in the future and wants to see what Sasuke is capable of. XD

maybe he was just eliminating the possibilities of someone other than sasuke to acheive MS. it could also be a dramatic turn of events and develope sasuke's character because he kinda needs a reason to act so sullen and whiny. and i might be mistaken, but i dont think that anyone outside of Konoha told Itachi about the MS. I think he read it in that basement thing that he told Sasuke about.

That is very interesting. good thinking. And maybe thats another reason sasuke doesn't try to get ms, bcuz itachi would have probable came after him while he was just a rookie at using it.
